Subject: Problem of beggary
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to draw the kind attention of the authority concerned to the growing problem of beggary in urban and rural areas, which has become a serious matter of concern in recent times. The increasing number of beggars reflects deep social and economic issues that require immediate attention.
The problem has been worsening day by day due to poverty, unemployment, lack of education, and absence of proper rehabilitation facilities. As a result, many people are forced to depend on begging for survival, while children and elderly persons suffer the most. If immediate steps are not taken, the situation is likely to take a more serious turn in future.
It is high time for the government to take drastic and effective steps to eradicate beggary by providing employment opportunities, proper shelter, and rehabilitation programmes. Moreover, public awareness should be aroused through your editorial so that people become conscious of their duties and responsibilities towards the weaker sections of society.

আপনার সম্মানিত দৈনিক পত্রিকার কলামের মাধ্যমে শহর ও গ্রামাঞ্চলে ভিক্ষাবৃত্তির ক্রমবর্ধমান সমস্যার প্রতি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে চাই, যা সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে একটি গুরুতর সামাজিক উদ্বেগের কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। ভিক্ষুকের সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি আমাদের সমাজের গভীর সামাজিক ও অর্থনৈতিক সমস্যার প্রতিফলন।
দারিদ্র্য, বেকারত্ব, শিক্ষার অভাব এবং উপযুক্ত পুনর্বাসন ব্যবস্থার অভাবে দিন দিন এই সমস্যা আরও বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। এর ফলে বহু মানুষ জীবিকার জন্য ভিক্ষাবৃত্তির ওপর নির্ভর করতে বাধ্য হচ্ছে, যেখানে শিশু ও বৃদ্ধরাই সবচেয়ে বেশি কষ্ট ভোগ করছে। অবিলম্বে কার্যকর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ না করলে ভবিষ্যতে পরিস্থিতি আরও ভয়াবহ হয়ে উঠতে পারে।
অতএব, ভিক্ষাবৃত্তি নির্মূলের লক্ষ্যে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি, উপযুক্ত আশ্রয় ও পুনর্বাসন কর্মসূচি গ্রহণের মাধ্যমে সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে কঠোর ও কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা একান্ত প্রয়োজন। পাশাপাশি, আপনার সম্পাদকীয়ের মাধ্যমে জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা উচিত, যাতে মানুষ সমাজের দুর্বল ও অসহায় শ্রেণির প্রতি নিজেদের কর্তব্য ও দায়িত্ব সম্পর্কে সচেতন হয়ে ওঠে।
