Subject: Growing intolerance in society
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to draw the kind attention of the authority concerned to the growing intolerance in society, which has become a serious matter of concern in recent times. Mutual respect, harmony, and peaceful coexistence among people are gradually declining.
The problem has been worsening day by day due to lack of tolerance, spread of misinformation, and rising hatred based on religion, caste, and political differences. As a result, social harmony is being disturbed and people are losing faith in one another. If immediate steps are not taken, the situation is likely to take a more serious turn in future.
It is high time for the government to take drastic and effective steps to promote unity, tolerance, and respect among citizens through education and strict action against hate speech. Moreover, public awareness should be aroused through your editorial so that people become conscious of their duties and responsibilities.

আপনার সম্মানিত দৈনিক পত্রিকার কলামের মাধ্যমে সমাজে ক্রমবর্ধমান অসহিষ্ণুতার সমস্যার প্রতি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে চাই, যা সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে একটি গুরুতর উদ্বেগের কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। মানুষের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধা, সহনশীলতা ও শান্তিপূর্ণ সহাবস্থানের মানসিকতা ক্রমশ হ্রাস পাচ্ছে।
সহিষ্ণুতার অভাব, ভ্রান্ত তথ্যের প্রসার এবং ধর্ম, জাতি ও রাজনৈতিক মতভেদের ভিত্তিতে ঘৃণার বৃদ্ধির কারণে দিন দিন এই সমস্যা আরও তীব্র হচ্ছে। এর ফলে সামাজিক সম্প্রীতি নষ্ট হচ্ছে এবং মানুষের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক বিশ্বাসের অভাব দেখা দিচ্ছে। অবিলম্বে কার্যকর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ না করলে ভবিষ্যতে পরিস্থিতি আরও ভয়াবহ হয়ে উঠতে পারে।
অতএব, শিক্ষা ও সচেতনতার মাধ্যমে ঐক্য, সহনশীলতা ও পারস্পরিক সম্মান গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে কঠোর ও কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা একান্ত প্রয়োজন। পাশাপাশি, ঘৃণামূলক বক্তব্যের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া উচিত। একই সঙ্গে, আপনার সম্পাদকীয়ের মাধ্যমে জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা প্রয়োজন, যাতে মানুষ নিজেদের কর্তব্য ও দায়িত্ব সম্পর্কে সচেতন হয়ে ওঠে।
