Subject: Domestic violence
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to draw the kind attention of the authority concerned to the alarming rise in domestic violence, which has become a serious matter of concern in recent times. Many women, children, and elderly people are suffering at the hands of family members, and urgent action is required to protect them.
The problem has been worsening day by day due to lack of awareness, weak enforcement of laws, and societal acceptance of abusive behavior. As a result, victims often face physical, emotional, and psychological trauma. If immediate steps are not taken, the situation is likely to become even more severe.
It is high time for the government to take drastic and effective steps to strengthen laws against domestic violence, provide proper support and counseling to victims, and ensure strict punishment for offenders. Moreover, public awareness should be aroused through your editorial so that people become conscious of their duties and responsibilities.

আপনার সম্মানিত দৈনিক পত্রিকার কলামের মাধ্যমে গৃহস্থালির সহিংসতার ভয়াবহ বৃদ্ধির প্রতি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে চাই, যা সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে একটি গুরুতর উদ্বেগের বিষয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। বহু নারী, শিশু এবং বৃদ্ধ ব্যক্তিরা পরিবারে সদস্যদের হাতে ভোগান্তির শিকার হচ্ছেন এবং তাদের রক্ষা করার জন্য জরুরি ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ প্রয়োজন।
সচেতনতার অভাব, আইন যথাযথভাবে প্রয়োগ না করা এবং সমাজে সহিংস আচরণের স্বীকৃতি পাওয়ার কারণে দিন দিন পরিস্থিতি আরও খারাপ হচ্ছে। এর ফলে ভুক্তভোগীরা শারীরিক, মানসিক এবং আবেগগতভাবে অত্যন্ত কষ্ট পাচ্ছেন। অবিলম্বে কার্যকর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ না করলে পরিস্থিতি আরও গুরুতর হয়ে উঠতে পারে।
অতএব, সরকারের উচিত গৃহস্থালির সহিংসতার বিরুদ্ধে আইনকে শক্তিশালী করা, ভুক্তভোগীদের জন্য যথাযথ সহায়তা ও পরামর্শ প্রদান করা এবং অপরাধীদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করা। পাশাপাশি, আপনার সম্পাদকীয়য়ের মাধ্যমে জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা উচিত, যাতে মানুষ নিজেদের কর্তব্য ও দায়িত্ব সম্পর্কে সচেতন হয়ে ওঠে।
