Subject: Noise pollution during festivals
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to draw the kind attention of the authority concerned to the growing problem of noise pollution during festivals, which has become a serious matter of concern in recent times. Excessive use of loudspeakers and firecrackers disturbs normal life and affects public health.
The problem has been worsening day by day due to lack of awareness and disregard for noise pollution rules. As a result, students, elderly people, patients, and even animals suffer from stress, hearing problems, and sleep disturbances. If immediate steps are not taken, the situation is likely to take a more serious turn in future.
It is high time for the government to take drastic and effective steps to strictly enforce noise control laws and regulate the use of loudspeakers and firecrackers during festivals. Moreover, public awareness should be aroused through your editorial so that people become conscious of their duties and responsibilities.

আপনার সম্মানিত দৈনিক পত্রিকার কলামের মাধ্যমে উৎসবকালে শব্দদূষণের ক্রমবর্ধমান সমস্যার প্রতি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে চাই, যা সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে একটি গুরুতর উদ্বেগের কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। অতিরিক্ত লাউডস্পিকার ও বাজি ব্যবহারের ফলে স্বাভাবিক জীবনযাত্রা ব্যাহত হচ্ছে এবং জনস্বাস্থ্যের ওপর বিরূপ প্রভাব পড়ছে।
সচেতনতার অভাব এবং শব্দদূষণ সংক্রান্ত নিয়মকানুন অমান্য করার কারণে দিন দিন এই সমস্যা আরও বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। এর ফলে ছাত্রছাত্রী, বয়স্ক মানুষ, রোগী এবং পশুপাখিরাও মানসিক চাপ, শ্রবণ সমস্যা ও ঘুমের ব্যাঘাতের শিকার হচ্ছে। অবিলম্বে কার্যকর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ না করলে ভবিষ্যতে পরিস্থিতি আরও গুরুতর হয়ে উঠতে পারে।
অতএব, উৎসবের সময় লাউডস্পিকার ও বাজির ব্যবহার নিয়ন্ত্রণ এবং শব্দদূষণ আইন কঠোরভাবে কার্যকর করার লক্ষ্যে সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে কঠোর ও কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা একান্ত প্রয়োজন। পাশাপাশি, আপনার সম্পাদকীয়ের মাধ্যমে জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা উচিত, যাতে মানুষ নিজেদের কর্তব্য ও দায়িত্ব সম্পর্কে সচেতন হয়ে ওঠে।
