Fatal Train Accident Near Sealdah

Kolkata, November 12: A tragic train accident occurred yesterday morning near Sealdah station when the Sealdah-Howrah local derailed due to a signal failure. Three compartments went off the track, killing four passengers and injuring over twenty others. Local residents and railway staff rushed to the spot to rescue the victims. The injured were immediately taken to NRS Medical College and Hospital. Railway officials have ordered an inquiry into the cause of the mishap. Train services on the route were disrupted for several hours, causing great inconvenience to commuters.
