Subject: Importance of teachers in nation-building
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to draw the kind attention of the authority concerned to the vital role of teachers in nation-building, which has become a matter of great concern in recent times. Teachers are the backbone of education and play a key role in shaping the minds and character of future citizens.
The problem has been worsening day by day due to lack of proper recognition, inadequate training, low salaries, and increasing responsibilities placed on teachers. As a result, the quality of education suffers and students may not receive the guidance and inspiration they need to become responsible and productive members of society. If immediate steps are not taken, the situation is likely to take a more serious turn in future.
It is high time for the government to take drastic and effective steps to support teachers by providing proper training, fair remuneration, and opportunities for professional growth. Moreover, public awareness should be aroused through your editorial so that society realises the critical role teachers play in building a strong and progressive nation.

আপনার সম্মানিত দৈনিক পত্রিকার কলামের মাধ্যমে জাতির গঠনে শিক্ষকের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকার প্রতি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে চাই, যা সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে একটি বড় উদ্বেগের কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। শিক্ষকরা শিক্ষার অগ্রভাগ এবং ভবিষ্যৎ নাগরিকদের মন ও চরিত্র গঠনে মূল ভূমিকা পালন করে।
যথাযথ স্বীকৃতি না পাওয়া, অপর্যাপ্ত প্রশিক্ষণ, কম বেতন এবং শিক্ষকদের উপর বাড়তি দায়িত্ব চাপানোর কারণে দিন দিন এই সমস্যা আরও বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। এর ফলে শিক্ষার মান ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হচ্ছে এবং শিক্ষার্থীরা দায়িত্বশীল ও উৎপাদনশীল নাগরিক হিসেবে গড়ে ওঠার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় দিকনির্দেশনা ও প্রেরণা পাচ্ছে না। অবিলম্বে কার্যকর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ না করলে ভবিষ্যতে পরিস্থিতি আরও গুরুতর হয়ে উঠতে পারে।
অতএব, শিক্ষককে যথাযথ প্রশিক্ষণ, ন্যায্য বেতন এবং পেশাগত বিকাশের সুযোগ প্রদান করার মাধ্যমে শিক্ষকদের সহায়তা করার জন্য সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে কঠোর ও কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা একান্ত প্রয়োজন। পাশাপাশি, আপনার সম্পাদকীয়ের মাধ্যমে জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা উচিত, যাতে সমাজ শিক্ষকের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা উপলব্ধি করে এবং একটি শক্তিশালী ও উন্নত জাতি গঠনে সহায়তা করে।
