It includes the ability to use computers, smartphones, the internet, and various digital tools safely and effectively. With the rapid growth of online education, e-governance, and digital payments, citizens who lack digital knowledge often face difficulties in daily activities. Experts emphasize that digital literacy not only improves learning and employment opportunities but also enhances communication and access to important services. Schools, colleges, and NGOs are conducting training programs to promote digital awareness among students and local communities. The government is also launching initiatives to ensure digital access in rural areas. Individuals are encouraged to learn basic computer skills, use the internet responsibly, and stay aware of online safety. Digital literacy empowers society by making people independent, informed, and better equipped for the future.

কোলকাতা, ১১ ডিসেম্বর: আধুনিক প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর যুগে ডিজিটাল সাক্ষরতা সকল বয়সের মানুষের জন্য এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দক্ষতা হয়ে উঠেছে। কম্পিউটার, স্মার্টফোন, ইন্টারনেট এবং বিভিন্ন ডিজিটাল মাধ্যম নিরাপদ ও দক্ষভাবে ব্যবহার করার ক্ষমতাকে ডিজিটাল সাক্ষরতা বলা হয়। অনলাইন শিক্ষা, ই-গভার্নেন্স এবং ডিজিটাল পেমেন্ট দ্রুত বৃদ্ধি পাওয়ায় যারা প্রযুক্তি সম্পর্কে অজ্ঞ, তারা প্রায়ই দৈনন্দিন কাজে সমস্যায় পড়েন। বিশেষজ্ঞরা বলেন, ডিজিটাল জ্ঞান শুধু শেখার সুযোগ ও কর্মসংস্থানই বাড়ায় না, বরং যোগাযোগ এবং জরুরি পরিষেবার প্রাপ্তিও সহজ করে। স্কুল, কলেজ ও এনজিও বিভিন্ন প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচির মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থী ও সাধারণ মানুষের মধ্যে ডিজিটাল সচেতনতা ছড়িয়ে দিচ্ছে। সরকারও গ্রামীণ এলাকায় ডিজিটাল সুবিধা বাড়াতে নানা উদ্যোগ নিচ্ছে। ব্যক্তিদের মৌলিক কম্পিউটার দক্ষতা অর্জন, দায়িত্বশীলভাবে ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহার এবং অনলাইন নিরাপত্তা সম্পর্কে সচেতন থাকার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হচ্ছে। ডিজিটাল সাক্ষরতা মানুষকে আরও স্বাধীন, সচেতন এবং ভবিষ্যতের জন্য প্রস্তুত করে তোলে।
