A Visit to a Historical Place ( Murshidabad )
A visit to a historical place enriches us with knowledge. Last month, my parents and I visited Murshidabad, the City of Nawabs. We explored Hazarduari, a palace with a thousand doors, followed by the palace houses, armory, library, and museum. I learned Emperor Akbar built this city in the 16th century. We also visited Khoshbagh, Motijhil, and Katra Mosque, and saw the Nawab's courtroom and Siraj-ud-Daula's grave. The Battle of Plassey's story came alive. This visit left a lasting impression on me.

Historical places reflect the culture and customs of a nation. Visit to such a place enriches us with knowledge and refreshes our mood and mind. Last month, I along with my parents visited Murshidabad, the city of Nawab. There are many things that speak about its history. We started with the most awaited place 'Hazarduari', that contains one thousand doors. Then one by one we visited the palace houses, an armoury, a library and a museum. I came to know that this city was once built by emperor Akbar in the 16th century and many more. After visiting Khosbag, Motijhil, Katra Mosque, we also sooth our eyes on seeing the Nawab's court room and the grave of Siraj-ud-Daula. The story of Battle of Plassey flashed upon me. The impression of this visit will remain imprinted on my mind.

A Visit to a Historical Place (Bishnupur)
On a crisp winter morning, precisely the 15th of January, we embarked on a journey to the historic Bishnupur. The train departed from Durgapur station at 7 AM, and the scenic rail route offered glimpses of rural Bengal. Arriving at Bishnupur around 10 AM, we were greeted by the ancient terracotta temples. This trip, planned for the 15th, was a long-awaited excursion with my close friends and cousins. The Rasmancha, with its intricate architecture, and the Jor Bangla temple, adorned with elaborate carvings, were particularly captivating. The sight of these centuries-old structures, standing as silent witnesses to history, filled us with awe. The vibrant terracotta art, depicting scenes from epics, was truly a sight to behold, making the visit an unforgettable experience.
