How Tea Leaves are Prepared
Tea leaves are dried leaves; important for making popular beverages. The preparation of tea leaves begins with plucking fresh leaves from the tea plants. The leaves are then brought to the factory and spread in trays. They are dried in a heated room to remove moisture. After drying, the leaves are cut in a shredding machine to make them finer. The shredded leaves are then sent to a hot oven for further processing. Next, the leaves are graded using a sieving machine according to size and quality. Finally, the tea leaves are packed in aluminium containers, ready for sale and consumption.
