How Rice is Prepared
Rice is a cereal grain; important as a global staple food. To prepare rice, first, take the required amount of rice and wash it thoroughly in water to remove dust and excess starch. Next, boil water in a pot and pour the washed rice into the boiling water. The container is then covered with a lid to trap the steam, and the rice is cooked for about an hour. Once cooked, any starchy water is drained from the rice. Finally, the rice is soft, fluffy, and ready to serve as a staple part of any meal.
